The reception is the first impression guests have on their holiday, so your main task is to welcome them with a smile and ensure you have complete control over the administrative tasks involved in receiving new guests and bidding farewell to returning ones. You will work closely with the hotel manager and be a key employee in the hotel’s daily operations.
A significant portion of your work will be in front of a screen, handling many administrative tasks. You will be responsible for everything from checking all bookings, preparing rooms, making key cards, and settling with guests at the end of their stay. You should enjoy talking with all kinds of guests and not shy away from engaging in dialogue with dissatisfied guests, always being solution-oriented. You will lead a small team, so you must also be able to delegate and motivate your colleagues.
